Spring harrow - purpose and application in agriculture.

Spring harrow or as it is called shtrigelnaya harrow, a very common tool for tillage among farmers. In Ukraine, it is usually used in the spring-summer period before sowing, during seedlings, and also after harvesting.

Presowing cultivating the field with a spring harrow consists in loosening the soil to a depth of 2 cm - 10 cm, leveling the surface of the field after plowing and left under the steam.

After sowing the crop with a spring harrow, they work for seeding seeds, as well as bulk and liquid fertilizers. In addition, moisture is often closed by this aggregate destroying the top crust of the soil, thereby preventing soil erosion while maintaining precious moisture in the soil and giving a good start to sown crops.

During early vegetation at the stage of 3-5 leaves, the operation of the spring harrow is also able to cope well with the closure of moisture and pull out the weed at the stage of the thread, thereby reducing the need for work with herbicides.

After harvesting, the spring harrow will also be an indispensable tool. With its help, work is carried out to level the field after the passage of harvesting equipment, the uniform distribution of plant and crop residues, as well as the provocation of weeds for further and more effective work with the herbicide.

All maintenance and transition from transport to working position and vice versa is performed by one person within 3-5 minutes. Using hydraulics, the tractor driver can raise and lower the working sections from the tractor cab for more convenient maneuvering on the field.
